RIVA DEL GARDA, ITALY

Our 1 night adventure! Lake Garda is this amazing place about an hour and a half from Vicenza. It is this massive crystal clear blue lake with adorable towns and mountains surrounding it. It is both a perfect summer and winter destination. We booked a cute hotel in Riva del Garda right off of the main square and spent the evening walking around, watching the beautiful sunset, and grabbing some vin brule. Riva del Garda is a small town, meant for more of a relaxing escape than a touristy getaway. They had a small Christmas market and an ice rink in the center of town. The most impressive thing about Riva del Garda and the towns around it were by far the gorgeous views!

We also explored the town of Arco, which is about 10 or so minutes north of Riva del Garda. Arco is another small, charming Italian town with a pretty Christmas market and is composed of what seems to be 80% outdoor stores for rock climbing, skiing, hiking, etc...While in Arco we also decided to climbed up to the Castello di Arco. I wasn't anticipating this trek and was therefore in completely inappropriate shoes, but I now know better in the future.
