ASOLO, ITALY

On our random weekends PJ and I like to pick a town, pack up the pup, and check them out. One weekend in January we did just that and headed to Asolo. [fyi...not pronounced a-solo but more like az-zolo. I got some questioning faces when I said a-solo at work the following Monday].

It is a small town, but is known for its many artists, poets and musicians. It is also known for its antiques market, although I haven't been to it yet. A lot was closed on the day we were there, so we walked around the beautiful streets and then headed to the fortress [La Rocca]. The walk up was quite a hike but the view was worth it!
